A webserver disk crash took DataCore's homepage with it. It was unreachable for some days as we considered this a low priority issue. We apologize for the inconvenience !

A firewall breakdown resulted in network outages and routing problems. Our services were unreachable during the night and the morning. The outage was fully resolved around 15:00 returning network operations to normal. We apologize for the inconvenience !

Yesterday floods and power outages in Zurich and surroundings resulted in problems in our and our upstream ISP's infrastructure. The outage was fully resolved around 20:00. We apologize for the inconvenience !

Unsecured POP3 and IMAP Mail Server Access decomissioned!

Dear customers, please note that as of today unsecured POP3 and IMAP access to our mail servers is no longer possible!

Be sure to configure your email reader to use SSL or TLS based access with POP3 and IMAP to our servers. This guarantees that your password will not be sent unencrypted over the Internet. We aploogize for inconvenience. Should you experience problems configuring your email reader please contact us.

Web Server Migration has been successfully completed!

Today we deployed our new 3.2Ghz Intel Servers with 4G RAM and SCSI RAID1. All customer web servers and databases have been migrated to the new servers.

Server operating system and all system software was updated. The new servers run Apache 2.0.58, PHP 5.1.6, Perl 5.8.8, MySQL 5.0.26, Python 2.3.4 and Ruby 1.8.5. Please contact us if you experience problems with your webserver's content.

Announcement: Web Server Maintenance Work (12./13. Novenber 2006)

Our administrators will do maintenance work on the DataCore Customer Webservers this weekend. They are replacing our customer webservers with new and faster servers. The web servers will be unavailable for several short time periods between 6pm saturday and 12am monday. Data Migration should be seamless and we hope to have the new server deployed and ready for customer use today.

As announced Swisscom did maintenance work on their dedicated lines to shorten the last mile down to 750 meters. All links to and from Witikon/Zurich got disconnected yesterday around 19:00 and got reconnected around 01:00 in the night. We apologize for the inconvenience !

Today Swisscom's ATM network failed at 09:07. The outage lasted for 3 hours and was resolved around 12:15. We apologize for the inconvenience!
